What brings me home to music is the fact that I can make songs out of ideas and concepts which has an impact on people. It is great to be in India right now where independent efforts have many parallel channels to make it out to their audiences. Its been a thrill to create so many projects and bands from scratch and continue the exploration as we go along.

Presenting my new project, a collaboration between singer/composer(
more famously theatre actor) Namit Das. A sound of its own that has evolved from traditional roots, but has found its way into a very interesting edgy and contemporary space. Subconsciously, it is an attempt to restore the glory of the light music style and contemporary writing from yesteryear India, but with a brand new attitude. We have just released the first recordings from this world that can be heard here. Follow the project and updates on our
facebook page.
A new exploration with vocalist Palomi Ghosh where we share our love for the 90s through contemporary rearrangements of Bollywood classics and fresh writing to come as well! The first release is out on Tips Volume featuring a stellar music video by Ravi Shankar!
This is my latest guitar project and is something that I am really excited about. Currently comprised of two guitars,(Myself and Sankarshan Kini of Kailasa fame) this project is a meeting of two different thoughts and worlds that gives rise to a brand new sonic sphere that the material encompasses. We plan to bring on more people with unique acoustic identities and take this project into the studio and also on the road later this year.

A project that i arranged and produced for Bangalore based label – Pragnya. Felt amazing to add new colors to Prattyush Banerjee’s genius on the Sarod and take into a new sonic world. The result is now available for the world to hear! Record available on iTunes.
LRL started out as me accompanying Siddharth Basrur on some of his material. We realised that there could be more coming out of this assocation so we started expanding our collective ideas along with Adil Kurwa and Karun Kanampilly on Bass and Drums. An intense, alternative rock album happened in 2015 and we’re writing more material that will be coming out in 2016. Read

The Urban Grooves Project was a unique series of original music created for EMI Virgin India. The series contained folk music from different parts of the country which was presented against an urban sonic motif of modern sounds. I worked as executive producer on three of the volumes mainly – Rajasthan, Kashmir and Bengal. On these albums, i worked with fresh and versatile composers/arrangers and authentic folk artistes to create a brand new canvas of fusion unlike any before it. Here is a sampler with tracks from all the three albums. Click on the link above to listen to complete tracks or buy the albums.
Monsoons of 2010 in Bombay is when I was producing Vitek Goyal’s bedroom alter-ego ‘Slow Down Clown’s’ debut EP ‘Say Nothing’ . I played some guitar on it myself and called in a friend from college to play drums. Little did I know that this would be the beginning of an extended journey that would see us making full length record as a band, play numerous shows across the country and making several music videos.
